Celebrating Community Spirit: MVMCA Holiday Party & Presidential Election


Exciting times are ahead for the Mt. Vernon Manor Citizens Association (MVMCA)! As we approach the end of the year, we're not only gearing up for our festive Holiday Party but also preparing for an important event in our community – the 2023 Presidential Election.


🌟 Introducing Our Presidential Candidates:


James Perkins: James has been involved in shaping our community since 2011, demonstrating his dedication through his tenure as a past President and ongoing membership. His commitment to Mt. Vernon Manor speaks volumes, envisioning positive change and fostering a strong community spirit.


Anh Ky Ban (Ky): Ky, has been a vibrant addition to Mt. Vernon Manor since 2019, bringing a new energy and perspective to our community. His hands-on approach and deep commitment to fostering strong neighborly bonds have quickly made him a cherished and influential member of our community.


Holiday Party & Election Details:


Date and Time: Thursday, December 7, from 6 PM to 9 PM

Location: Wesley United Methodist Church (8412 Richmond Ave.)

Voting Process: The Presidential Election will be held during the Holiday Party. All active, paid MVMCA members are eligible to vote (one vote per household). Specific voting procedures will be provided at the event.

Holiday Potluck & Officer Elections

Join us at the Mount Vernon Manor Holiday Potluck and Annual Membership Meeting for an evening filled with good food, great company, and festive cheer!


This event is not just a gathering but a celebration of our vibrant community!

The MVMCA "Bill Foust" Scholarship Program 2023 Recipient - Cami Lee!

**This message is sent on behalf of the MVMCA Scholarship Committee Chair Alfons Skudlarek


"I am pleased to announce that this year's Bill Foust Mount Vernon Manor Citizens Association (MVMCA) scholarship was awarded to Cami Lee.


Cami was presented with a check for $1,500 and an award letter which will be read at her school's Awards Convocation Ceremony in June.


Cami will graduate from Mount Vernon High School with a 3.532 GPA and has been on the honor roll for four years.

She has also volunteered in the community and has work experience. Cami will attend Radford University this fall where she was awarded the Highlander Distinction Scholarship. Her career goal is to be an Observational Astronomer. Cami easily met all the requirements for the scholarship and we wish her all the best in her future endeavors. Congratulations!"
